Volunteer

The Tiny Tim Center is grateful to our volunteers who help us meet our mission of assisting each child in reaching his or her potential. The time and talents provided by each volunteer provide the foundation for our fiscal well-being and the future of The Tiny Tim Center. It has been calculated that a volunteer hour is worth $19.51 to an organization. As a not-for-profit we apply for grants to help meet our general operating needs. The funders look for community support of The Tiny Tim Center and use the reported volunteer hours as part of their decision-making process. Volunteers are recruited through parent participation, referrals from current volunteers, community presentations, and local newspaper articles.
Examples of volunteer opportunities include:

  • Serving on the Board of Directors
  • Clerical support
  • Fundraising event committees
  • Indoor/Outdoor building repairs
  • Bulk mailing
  • Sewing
  • Newsletter articles
  • Other support to children's curriculum and learning

Log Volunteer Hours
It is important that we document the hours that our volunteers complete, so that we can report them in our Annual Report as well as to Foothills United Way, the City of Longmont, and our corporate and foundation funders. Hours can be logged by e-mailing the recorded hours to mhenry@tinytimcenter.org, or completing the volunteer log that is kept at the Center.
